How did I not start this blog before??

Welcome to the first post of "Things That Shouldn't Happen But Do." I think the idea of this blog entered my mind awhile ago, but in various forms. Monday was the day that made me think, I HAVE to start posting some of this stuff...

What happened on Monday you are wondering? Well let me indulge you...

So, Monday early evening, say about 5 p.m., I jumped on my bike to head to my corner store to pick up some tampons, yes tampons, nothing very fun.

As I am quietly standing behind another lady waiting to pay for my tampons, a guy comes in and taps me on the shoulder and says:

"Hello, I saw you riding your bike and I want to know you."

"Uh, what?" was my response. In my head was Am I really getting hit on buying tampons?? Where is the camera?? Who set this up??

But no, he proceeded, even after I told him I had a boyfriend, he responded with:

"If not now, later." The lady in front of me, just put her head down and started quietly laughing, and rightly so.
